I moved on from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1946 and Married Rosalyn Smith whom I had four kids with. There were three young men (John William, James Earl III, Donnell Jeffery) and one young lady (Amy Lynn). In 1971 I got my first genuine government-related occupation. I turned into the 76th legislative head of Georgia. While I was in office as the senator, my kindred governors from the encompassing states prescribed me to be director of the Southern Regional Educational Board, the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Coastal Plains Regional Action Planning Commission, and the Southern Growth Policies Board.
